Reading College announces alumni association

Reading College, the Thames Valley’s leading Further and Higher Education College, today announced that it is launching its first official alumni association, appealing for former students to make contact.

The association is for anyone who attended Reading College or the former Thames Valley University, Reading College and School of Arts and Design, Reading College of Arts and Technology, Berkshire College of Art and Design, Reading College of Technology or Reading Technical College

By joining the alumni network, former students can get access to a range of exclusive benefits including careers help and support, library resources and discounts at the on-campus restaurants and salons. The alumni association will also help to connect alumnus who can share experiences and provide an informal support network.

Lesley Donoghue, Principal of Reading College, said: “We are excited to be launching our first alumni association and hope that as many former students as possible will become part of this new network.

“As a college we are committed to giving our students the edge when it comes to progressing in their education and careers. Our alumni will celebrate successes and help to inspire existing and former students by offering a bridge between their educational and real-world business experiences.

“As well as offering an informal support network, the alumni association will offer former students specialist careers guidance for life. It will also provide them with opportunities to develop new skills and qualifications. We hope that this group will become powerful ambassadors for Reading College.”
