Reading Bikeability training courses announced
0The following two-day summer holiday courses are available to children in Years 5, 6 and 7:
– Prospect Park: 7th & 8th August
– South Reading (New Directions): 12th & 13th or 14th & 15th August

Additional courses are available for children aged 12 and above or those who have already completed the Level 2 course and are 11 or over. These Level 3 courses focus on busier roads and more complex junctions, including roundabouts and traffic signals.
Bikeability is designed to give the next generation of children the skills and confidence to ride their bikes safely on today’s roads, as well as being a healthy and fun activity.
The courses also provide value for money for parents who are asked to contribute £10 towards the cost of the course. The rest of the cost is covered by Reading Borough Council through a grant secured from the Department for Transport.
Level 3 courses are available at the following venues:
– Rivermead Leisure Centre – 16th August
– Caversham Park Primary – 23rd & 30th August
