New Play Equipment for South Reading Kids

A NEW climbing frame, the first of its kind in the country, has just opened at the John Rabson Recreation Ground in Whitley.

Aimed at children of all ages and abilities, the unique star design is the focal point of a newly refurbished area and is an exciting addition to the rec’s play facilities.

As well as being strong and hard-wearing, the equipment’s innovative design ensures more cost-effective maintenance.

Costing £20,000, the new equipment was funded by a Section 106 payment, the money negotiated by local authorities from developers where a planning application is approved.
