Beautiful Blooms Brighten Up Reading

Daffodils which have been planted by Reading Borough Council to brighten up the neighbourhood in Katesgrove.

The blooms have been planted by the Council’s parks team along the grass verges in Canterbury Road and Farm Close. The improvement to the area has been made possible through the Council’s decent neighbourhood fund.

Affinity Housing put in a bid to the Council, after residents in the area said they’d like to see the neighbourhood brightened up with a beautiful display of flowers.

Reading Borough Council is keen to see more bids for this year’s Decent Neighbourhoods fund to help improve their community.

This can include installing park benches, new flowers and new bollards as well as community activities.
